This project is intended to work out an educational course at a level of supplementary training within environmental engineering work and user centred information technology. In particular, this project will oblige demands and needs from women, who are part of low-income or rural communities in South and South-East Asia.
The main activity will involve development of teaching plans, which are relevant for the appointed target group, and development of mechanisms that most appropriately can promote these plans. Results of the project will form Master’s programmes for the new Asian University for Women (AUW) in Bangladesh.
At the same time, other collaborating institutes will derive advantage from the project by working in and implementing the produced teaching plans and teaching resources in relation to their own courses.
Asia-Link is a two-year project, which involves a partnership between Imperial College London (ICL), Aalborg University, Bangladesh University for Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT, Thailand).
